Wearing some sophisticated jewelry in colleges is fine but when we go for a job interview it is a formal arena where the interviewing officer will judge you in 10-30 minutes. So, it becomes of utmost importance for us to know how to dress up for a job interview. Here are a few good tips which we can follow to put a good impression in an interview using dressing techniques.

  • Properly Groomed Personality

It is said that the first impression is the last impression. Before you speak in an interview, your personality reveals a lot about you. The way you dress up says a lot about you. There are offices where bosses tend to teach basic grooming techniques. Most of the people in a job interview come unshaved and have no proper haircuts. Well, this does not make them any less from the other candidates in terms of capabilities and education. But it does tell about your personality.

So, make sure that you shave or trim your beard properly when you dress up for a job interview.

  • Well Ironed Attire

Ironing and folding your clothes is a well-taught tradition and it gradually imparts positivity and a sense of alignment in your body. When the crease of a pressed shirt aligns with the pant that imparts the sense of your organization even before you start speaking to your interviewing officer. So press your shirt and clothes before going to an interview, rather make it a habit so that you are not going to get panic about ironing your clothes.

  • Polished Shoes is MUST

When you enter any experienced person’s room, he will not look at your face first but your SHOES. All these small points are the reflection of how you take care of the little things in your life. If you are not able to do little things right, you won’t be able to do big things right. At the end of the day, may you be completely tired but end the day by polishing your shoes. And start it by folding your bed. It’s all bullshit if you wear new shoes for a new interview if you are not in the requirement. Polish your shoes daily and within one month, they look better than brand new shoes. Believe me.

  • Fitness and Attire

Whatever you wear, if it’s not fit and comfortable to your FIT body then you probably have to start going to a gym or train by yourself. Getting fit feels great because whatever you wear you start feeling your attire. It is of utmost importance to notice and quote that, “The dress chooses you, you don’t choose your dress.” And the way you wear it will automatically improve with the improvement in your fitness.

Well, keep in mind these points before you go for a job interview. And rest depends completely on your communication skills, including body language. Which will, of course, get better with fitness and conscious healthy habits. So, make all these points your habit and not just for an interview to get something even greater in your life.

After-all, Great Habits make Great Leaders…
